I'm really doubtful of the benefits. I really don't see any.
The personal and environmental cost does not match any benefits to be found.
If you are a billionaire technofascist it furthers the progress towards your goals. But if you are a normal person it's just another addiction to rip away your autonomy and increase surveillance and control over the 'livestock' class.
