Before Bitcoin can win, we'll have to go through a phase when only the elite (plus a small number of nerds) can handle Bitcoin.

Why? Because the state will impose capital gains taxes and possibly will even seize BTC or make private ownership difficult or illegal. Only large players (institutional) or nerds will be able to or want to withstand this.
What middle-income normie employee in a western country _won't_ ditch BTC when they risk doing something illegal?
