This is seriously exciting. Signed, encrypted video chunks fetched from multiple Blossom servers and assembled into HLS is exactly the direction I was hoping to see.

This turns video into something much closer to signed text: verifiable segments, first class highlights, and proper streaming rather than “download a huge blob and hope”. It feels like a real improvement on YouTube rather than a clone.

Being able to share provable clips, skip dead hosts, and stream efficiently without a central platform is huge. Nice

I think nostr is better suited to replace the phone number sooner than social media.

I think this happens through a number of 'other' apps using its identity and the common sign in creates a network effect.

On social media, I think the best angle for nostr is that it allows exclusive bubbles, where you can know everyone is a real person or has passed a selection criteria to be invited to join the relay.

Have you read that? I have a friend and pastor who read that and blogged about it. From his review it sounded a bit Luddite, but that could have just been his take.

Metals cannot be forked, captured by narratives, or reshaped through social consensus. Bitcoin can, and the block size wars proved that political dynamics apply just as much to digital systems as nation states.

Unlike politics, Bitcoin is self healing. When governance fails or trust is abused, value leaks to alternatives and bad ideas collapse.

The real vulnerability is “Bitcoin only” thinking. Sound money is the objective. One system will dominate when it earns that position, not when it is declared untouchable.
