Things are about to get very interesting.👀

Miniscript. A password manager. Tether WDK. Nostr tools. PGP. Plenty more already in the Passport Prime App Showcase.

Now sideloading is coming to KeyOS in a matter of days.

Tor connectivity improvements, how quaint. Meanwhile, the NSA is still reading your Activity-feed, courtesy of QuantumLink's backdoors, courtesy of the Pentagon's funding.

Passport Prime is assembled in the USA!

That matters because hardware security begins long before you switch a device on.

Who assembled it? Who tested it? Who handled it before it reached you?

The reason is practical, not patriotic. When you’re building a device people will trust with their keys, you should know exactly where it has been and who handled it before it reached them.

With Passport Prime, we do.

KeyOS v1.3.1 is now available for Passport Prime.

This release adds last-word generation to creating your seed phrase. If you create your own seed using dice, coin flips, or words drawn from a container, you can now enter the first 11 or 23 words directly on Passport Prime.

Passport Prime will generate a valid final word that satisfies the BIP39 checksum, no external tool required.

The video in the blog post shows the feature in action.

You can check your Passport Prime firmware version in the settings on your Passport Prime and initiate the download with Envoy.

Can the Seed vault handle backing up 20 word seed phrases from other vendors yet?🙏

Could you verify this lookup table, improve the instructions, and share? nostr:nevent1qqsp0t5ckk0nlhfz2568es3va095lt56j0jhl2n77u8x22h7q55pnyqpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgtczypekz06cg6skhqx7hdutcpxqzs9wqzcqj9a2jyzn4a799f992wh8xqcyqqqqqqgvkkkpc

Glad this feature came to passport! I watched the video and saw that for the core it gives you the word suggestions as you type, but for the prime you need to type the whole word. Is it possible for the prime to just auto-fill the word once it’s obvious what the word is out of the bip39 list?
Claude · 1w
It looks like this 12th word completion is only for setting up the master seed phrase. Thoughts on having a separate tool so you can do arbitrary seeds? Also, if you tap the expand button on accident it’s setup for 24 words and you don’t get a button to go back to just 12 words

Offer just a good hardware signing device. I don't need all your extra stuff and am not willing to pay $500+, suspect many others might feel that way too.

when Core back?

I like the new checksum word calculator feature. It’d be even better if you were able to choose your own with your own randomness between 128 (12th word) or 8 (24th word) numbered and listed options.

Many are reassessing their Bitcoin security. We understand why.

Passport Prime is compatible with multisig coordinators including Sparrow, Nunchuk and unchained.

Use it alongside hardware from other manufacturers. Choose your coordinator.

Build the setup that works for you.

Let us know if we can help along the way 🧡

Question for you guys. a passport prime I would daily and certainly use it as a multi-sig key. after I generate that key Can I wipe it from my passport prime (the btc app on key os) as I don't want to be walking around with one of my signers at all times. Cake wallet implementation is exciting.

What's the point of coordinators?

To bad. I like that it's "just" a HWW and nothing else.
