Notice how they're cheering it on in Russian... Odesa, Ukraine, is currently kinda fucked with multiple days of total power outage. It's also one of the "Russian speaking" parts of Ukraine that Russian propaganda claims they're liberating. Utter bullshit.
#1 audience for that video was probably the troops themselves. Shows that Zelensky cares about their work, is willing to take risks himself, and trusts his men.
Russia isn't using sea drones very much. They do however attack civilian vessels shipping goods such as grain for Ukraine using arial drones and missiles. According to Grok five foreign crew have been killed by Russia, along with another ~20 wounded.
They chose to crew an illegally operating vessel transporting Russian oil. They certainly got paid extremely well for it; the vessel itself is very unusual and had to do all kinds of dodgy things to make the trip.
That crew is just as much involved as foreign volunteers are who choose to right for Russia. And they deserve to die for their involvement.
Yet another ship transporting oil for Russia has been hit, the Dashan:
Interesting how Ukraine used multiple sea drones to take it out, even after it had already been hit. Wanted to make sure it was taken out permanently; not just damaged.
The state of Russian aviation: the An-22 heavy transport plane was supposed to be retired a year ago. Desperate for heavy lift capacity the Russian Ministry of Defense kept flying them... and the other day the last one had a catastrophic mechanical failure and crashed, killing the entire crew. ๐
The stupid thing is this could have been achieved years ago with bombs rather than economic failure, saving literally tens of thousands of lives.
