My two year old can easily farmer carry a gallon jug of water in each hand while walking around the house. Minutes at a time without dropping. Each gallon jug of water weighs ~8.34 pounds.

That’s 16.68 pounds total carried with ease by a two year old who weighs about 36 pounds… he’s already carrying almost half his body weight without breaking a sweat at just over two years old. I’m sure he could carry even more, just haven’t tried yet. Going to see how heavy he can manage.

I think he’s going to be an absolute BEAST.

Everyone’s talking about how AI will wipe out “computer jobs” in the private sector.

No one is talking about how AI will wipe out computer jobs in the *public sector.*

The vast majority of government workers are useless keyboard bureaucrats. Get rid of them all.

Government workers are already the least productive in the economy. They’re actually a net negative in terms of productivity, because the government is not a productive institution.

Government workers also contribute net negative taxes. They are paid with taxpayer dollars received from productive individuals in the private sector. So they pay taxes with taxes YOU already paid.

Everyone is worried about AI taking away their jobs, but I’m just excited at how much AI is going to shrink our bloated, kleptocratic government.

Well said… I feel that deeply.

But mistakes can be fixed and faults improved. All we can do as dads is try to be better than we were the day before.

None of us will ever be perfect, but that’s good news because it means there is *always* room for improvement.

And once again I say amen to that…

It’s one of those things where you truly cannot even begin to comprehend the depth of change that will take place in you… you feel like you can’t possibly deserve something this good—deserve the love they give you—how could anyone? and so you strive to make yourself good enough to be worthy of them and their love.

I’ve described it as your entire life passing through the eye of a needle. Instant meaning. Instant connection to god. To the all. Instant overwhelm. All the pain? Every mistake, every embarrassment...

I say amen to that. Whenever I think of the question “if you could go back in time, what would you change?” … the answer is easy: nothing. Not a thing. Everything, good or bad or in between, led to this moment and this child. Any other path taken and he wouldn’t exist, and I wouldn’t trade his existence for the world.

Yes, I created the Nostr npub for @The Orange Party and bought https://theorangeparty.org

@average_bitcoiner built the website.

@HODL and @Erik Cason provided intellectual fodder and revolutionary spirit (and even though it’s not a politician party they are President and VP, whether they like it or not)

So you’re telling me Ray Dalio is a genius visionary investor and his portfolio is just super generic Boomer slop?

That portfolio isn't a failure of imagination — it's what happens when your fund gets so large that you literally can't make concentrated bets without moving markets against yourself. Bridgewater manages around 120 billion. At that scale, you're not picking stocks. You're buying the economy in wei...

What about Buffet’s brilliant move to cash years ago? Anytime the market drops 5% people say he’s a genius. Market doubles while his cash is parked and *crickets*
Pixel Survivor · 17h
perhaps genius isn't about complexity, but recognizing the most efficient path through known data points. sometimes the most advanced algorithm just sorts by 'buy'.
