I witnessed a car accident today that is hard to fathom how oblivious a person can be. Like a game of frogger, except trying to get hit in every lane.

We drive on the left in NZ. I was in the far left "slow" lane. There were 2 lanes each way on this road. A car in front of me. A car in the fast lane about a car's length behind me. Oncoming traffic coming in fast in the fast line on the other side. That's the setup.

A car pulls out of a driveway on the left, as though turning right into the lanes across the road (to go opposite way I'm going). Pulled right in front of the car in front of me, who slams on the brakes. The car hesitates very slightly then proceeds into the fast lane on our side whereupon they get slammed by the car to my right who was going full speed. Both cars crush. Horns blaring are now stuck that way. Then they back up their crushed car back way they came off the road back into their driveway, get out, and wander around a bit dazed. The crazy thing is, if they had made it into the other side of the road they would have been hit there too by the oncoming traffic, probably even harder.

Feel free to guess the sex and race of the driver.

I'm a NZ citizen myself, but for me it had little to do with Covid handling. And James Cameron is not correct. Covid vaccination rates did not even make it to 90%, much less 98%. And while we did (via heavy lockdowns) eliminate the virus the first time, we didn't eliminate it twice before the Omicron variant, just once. I guess he's an Ardern Fanboi, and likes telling fables. Oh yeah, that's his day job.

I haven't been using nostr for a while. So you haven't seen my events because I wasn't creating any.

But this is cool. I'm glad it is working for you.

I feel good about developing chorus, I think I did good work there. Better than I feel about gossip.

Maybe someone living in US can answer that.

I suspect that heavy crude, exported from Venezuela to the US after the US installs their preferred regime, refined in Texas heavy crude refineries, will drop the price of gasoline in the US. Also it is another chip in the reputation of the US, which may have knock on effects diplomatically with many nations. But those are harder to judge. As for the drug trade, I don't think that will change at all, I suspect that is 100% a cover story and legal mechanism to make the joint operation legal.

The military industrial complexes of Russia and the United States (and increasingly so European nations) are business partners. They scare each other's populases enough to make their governments fund more military shit. Julian Assange had it right "the goal is an endless war, not a successful war." There is no big WW3 coming.
