Whilst it sucks for those affected, its not as bad as:
(1) Mtgox hack. 80% of global btc trading happened through gox and 6% of all bitcoins in circulation were stolen. BTC price collapsed roughly 50%.
(2) Bitfinex Hack. 120000 btc stolen. All customers had to take an account balance haircut of 35%. BTC price collapsed 20%.
To me this is similar - but worse than - the milksad bug. How bad it will be for the market will depend on (a) Coldcard's reaction to those who have lost funds and (b) how quickly Coldcard's customers move their funds to secure addresses.
Trezor has been the #1 hardware wallet by almost any metric for a long time now. Security theatre isn't security if you don't get the basics right, as this has proved.
Hacking my nsec is the easy bit. Its getting my raspiblitz to play nicely with albyhub which requires hacker skillz well beyond mere weak PRNG exploits....
I was in the UK, where only they dared to pick on the poorest paid, de-unionised care workers and sack them if they didn't get vaccinated. Cowardly wankers.
I've uploaded my addy, just waiting on the other three to add theirs. I'm off to Majorca on Saturday so I'm really hoping they add the address before then. The CD's are ready to ship :)
That's the way it goes, happy you won :) I've got so many things to fix at the moment, but the good news is that I've managed to fix my burglar alarm this morning. Alby hub is next on the list. All the best!
