The old processors simply cannot run most of the new animations properly. There is just not enough power to even play things correctly. So the framework already disables most of it, but it cannot disable it all, so everything becomes VERY slow compared to any newer phone.

I mean, even on my Pixel 8, Twitter, WhatsApp, Gmail is all VERY slow compared to a pixel 10. And that is just 2 years... But it is visible when putting them side by side.

There is no magic to old hardware. They just don't perform. Our standards on what's acceptable for a good UI move on, and the older phones suffer.

All the translations are local AI models. Newer phones offer proof reading and writing tools when composing on Amethyst. Other phones have "alt" descriptors automatically generated for the pictures you submit so that the blink can imagined what's on them. All local.

Sure.. it's that we run several AI models locally so automating locally is also possible.

Frankly, I wanted to get rid of all the properties on the NIP and let relay operators and clients negotiate new properties that are actually useful. I feel like we bloated NIP-11's limits with random stuff that we don't even use and/or are not effective at all.

Does it work? I tested I2P embed on Amethyst a couple months ago, but it was so slow (1-2 mins boot up to the first good reply then then very slow connections later) that I gave up.

Yep, but not fucking git commands. Learn what it does, not the syntax to do this you know it can do.

Just ask the AI to use ngit instead.. nobody has the time to learn and memorize these commands.

Pixel 5A? Yeah. That is never going to work. My minimum now is Pixel 7. And it will be pixel 8 by the end of the year.

It's not that we don't care. Everyone has moved on to newer phones. We please the average. Supporting super old phones is way harder than it seems.
