After our recent decision to restock the chicken coop with breeds from our local community which we found productive, we want to also to be able to make a new productive breed.

We are selling the small weak roosters in exchange for buying big and healthy ones, we are Also selling unproductive chicken for new ones.

Trial and error till we get it right before we begin scaling on what we are sure of.

On this day, we had bought a big rooster. Jusper the smaller one we initially had and paid with Bitcoin!

During our last meeting, we planted seeds in a few beds to use to transplant when they are ready.
The vegetables are growing up fast and healthy on the now bigger piece of land.

We are planning on meeting next week to transplant the seedlings to the rest of the farm.

Update:

After selling all the chicken we previously had, we decided to rebuy new chicken from our local community with the sats we had saved. Surprisingly, the kienyeji chicken we bought are more productive that the ones we previously had.

Last week, Mary came to our chicken coop to buy chicken to celebrate with during the festive season with her family.

She bought 5 chicken and paid with Bitcoin!

The women chama recently started a weekly merry go round of 21 members saving in Bitcoin led by @sylviaMonyangi and Mercy to make good use of the sats they earn.

Each member of the group contributes sats and at the end of the week, they use the sats to buy household items for one member of the group and continue onto the next member.

They started with Janet. So Last week, their contributions managed to buy a table and a few items for Janet and her family. (Janet is the lady who Silvia had paid school fees for her kid for 2 years btw : x.com/i/status/19487… )

The table was bought from a local workshop and paid with in Bitcoin.
