I work for the government now lol doing stuff with intellectual property so it's tech adjacent but also should be a lot less prone to short term uncertainty

1. There are few jobs anywhere especially in the software world for people without experience
2. Everyone and everything is all in on AI and it seems to be like a dot-com level of concentration
3. There is no job security anymore. I talked to one of my uni classmates who works for Amazon and they've said absolutely no one has morale because layoffs are never ending (they laid off 16k more in the last week, they were not laid off)

Plus everything @nprofile1q... said about management of most places being stupids that don't actually know what they're doing ever (though that seems to be universal)
