Visiting #Kerteminde #Danmark today and whilst the rest of the fam went to look at fishing gear, I stopped into www.gallerihavn.dk for a cheeky peruse.

Got about halfway and stopped at this piece and wanted it with all my heart and soul. I did not have the funds for it.

I believe the artist is Tine Lindvig. They had many other pieces there that were beyond amazing, including one that depicted a toddler and baby in a garden where the toddler was spraying the baby with a garden hose. As a parent to siblings, that one made me actual LOL.

Some of this artists work also reminded me of some Jeffery Smart images I saw at a surrealist exhibition at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Australia back in the 90s.

But this woman with a crow.... fuck me. Thats some talent!

Summer house vibes. Everything wlse van just fuck off for a week.

Our first #garlic #harvest ever! Thanks to our wonderful friend (and resident Druid in our regular #DnD group) who gifted us some bulbs from her harvest last year along with some awesome tips for cultivating and care. All ready for curing now, but you can bet that at least one of these beauties is getting put on some homemade pizza tonight!

he butternut pumpkin seeds I planted in individual pots, in speciallised seed starting mix, and placed in the perfect position for optimal light and warmth, and watered (but not overwateted) diligently to ensure the absolute best opportunity for them to germinate: Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zero germination.

The extra butternut pumpkin seeds that I had, that I figured I'd just experiment with, and unceremoniously chucked in shallow dry dirt-holes along the weed-filled fenceline of our garden, and then just left to their own devices: Fucking up on time and thriving.

Like, what the heck? I dunno why we bother with all this seedling molly-coddling sometimes, when those little buggers are just gonna do what they do without our input anyway.

New glasses. The BDV/prism part is the same, even though it's gotten a little worse in the last few years, the optomitrist said that since I'm already on a very high prism lens strength, going higher could become unconfortable for me.

Now though, I also have bifocals so that I can read better. And holy shit! Being able to read the small print on packaging again is a joy! I didn't even need to get my maginifying glass out!

Yay my dumb old eyes! This is gonna take some getting used to.

#Perimenopause is super weird. For me the worst is the constant brain fog and the forgetfulness. Its like having breastfeeding-brain all over again! Also the combination means that sometimes I do something weird in a brain fog moment, then forget that Ive done it and then get weirded out when I discover what I did.

Example, I had an expired debit card on my desk that needed to get cut up and thrown out. But instead of doing that, Brain-Fog Bettina decided to put the card back in my wallet instead, which Franchesca Forgetfulness then promptly completely wiped from my memory.

Cue the next day, at a shop trying to pay for a purchase and not being able to figure out why my card won't work. Luckily I could use mobile pay but I was super confused and frustrated by it. I got in the car and looked at the card and realised it was 2 years out of date and the current card was right there next to it.

At our #dnd session on friday, the Bard player showed up and let us know that he had put a file in our shared cloud folder for game resources.

It was a song he had written and recorded about our campain so far.

Im still beyond blown away that this silly little game I run for them has inspired someone to do something like that. Its awesome.
