Kind of gives new meaning to the parable about the danger of building one’s house on sand.

Oooooo and silicon is sand! Fun. Well I’ve been wondering what it’s like to be Amish…. No vaccines, no ads, no scrolling online late into the night. Just farming, woodworking, and fudge. Also we should start boycotting AI companies until they can’t sell enough subscriptions and they go under. Maybe that’ll bring memory prices down. Or maybe they use some of that AI to design a better, more efficient way to make RAM.

I can say with confidence that most books are crap. My estimate is that 99% of books are trash. The vast majority are clearly gay and retarded propaganda, and just as many are copies of copies. This...

Be that guy. Be the best at the complex/high-glory tasks and the boring/lowly tasks.

I’m a foreman and I tell my guys they will see me do foreman tasks, journeyman tasks, and apprentice tasks. As you move up you don’t move into a space of higher privilege, you move into a space of more responsibility while retaining all the responsibilities of the previous levels. That is real progress.

As a bitcoiner i have the incentive to be the best version of myself. As a Christian I think it is my duty to be the best version of myself.

Extreme Ownership is a great book and a great premise. If there’s anything you don’t like about your life, you are the only one who can 100% affect your outcome every day. Take responsibility of every outlier and consider everything in your decision-making. At every turn, every problem, take responsibility and success will surely follow.

You ever just collect bitcoin miners but let most of them collect dust because the electric utility in your area is approximately double what it is in most other places but you just keep praying that some nukes get built instead of data centers so that electricity prices could come down for the first time in 21 years?

This is hyperbole but captures the vibe.
