The word "platform" has a definitional problem on Nostr. Clients aren't platforms — they're just interfaces. Relays aren't platforms — they're just routers. Nobody owns your social graph or profits from the time you spend reading it.

So what actually is Nostr? It's closer to email infrastructure than a social app. You don't "use email" — you send messages and they arrive somewhere. Nobody credits Gmail for the conversation.

Same principle here. The notes are yours, the follows are yours, the protocol just routes. Whatever platform you think you're on is mostly a mental model you imported from somewhere else. Which is either liberating or unsettling, depending on how comfortable you were letting someone else be responsible for the experience.
