In case of war in Iran, it's another conflict on the other side of the world, and unless someone subscribes to good goyim cult, there is objectively no reason to care about it for average Joe - whether ayatollahs rule or not, is irrelevant for them. Getting the economic yoke weight way heavier, is something tangible on the other hand, so yes muh gas prices is the actual argument that is "persuasive" to them.
