When 9/11 happened, I was creating a scene in 3ds Max, collaborating with a friend. We communicated by e-mail. A gothic castle was part of the scene.

When the friend wrote: "The tower has collapsed!" I thought something went wrong during the modeling of a castle tower. So I responded with possible causes of 3ds Max modeling issues.

The friend then replied: "No, turn on the TV, now!" So I did, and I'll never forget the profound realization that what was unfolding would change the world. 🙁
