I agree. The ant on the first photo doesn't look "glänzend" (shiny) at all [with the exception of the "connecting bit" in the middle maybe - not sure what the correct term is for that body part? ] .
The surface overall appears to be rather "matt" or indeed "samtig" (velvety).
