I have two degrees, and I learned more in my first month in my current job than in all my years at university.
I'm in my 40s and still have student debt, btw. Credentials are just gatekeeping BS, real education comes from the world, not ivory towers. Don't feel bad about leaving in Year 8, in many ways that could still turn out to have been the smart choice.
