I'm obviously pro bitcoin, (but I disagree):
"wanting connection is a human need
(= human nature)"
Social media platform platforms give the illusion of connection, unfortunately the effect of most social media platforms are more negative than positive,
the negative illusion effect increases the desire for real connection,
when we observe reality, more and more people communicate online => MORE OFTEN than FACE-TO-FACE,
it's an endless loop that only reinforces the feeling of wanting deeper connection, because of the feeling that we can't get it in real life (FACE-TO-FACE), the smartphone addiction make it more difficult to find people.
The last time (more than 3h) deepest conversation I had face-to-face was with a complete strangers +/- 4 people, years ago (without mobile phones), this is an exceptional situation.
This is the new normal:
"the situation, having deep conversations with strangers occurs less often in the present, than in the past (+15 years ago)."
(*) In the past more people talked to each other with genuine curiosity.
Smartphones killed the deep connection/conversation, irl.
