I tried with the version from your link and the two buttons still don't do anything for me. I only see click animation, then nothing happens. Dunno if that's because of old android version or sth else...
Noted. Strange and we are not 100% sure the reason at the moment. If we recall correctly, the oldest version we have ran for Android is Android 11 and on a $50 phone. We've also tested on other older and cheaper models just to make sure it is compatible and could be used in any circumstance and environment (ideally). Sadly, we can't even grab the logs as you can't even manage to get in.
Appreciate you wanting to help test and try the latest pre-release. Android and Linux are both quite finnicky with each version, distro, release, etc. that we have noticed. We are really working hard on this release to get the UX more polished for Android users as most of the downloads have been for Android.
Will circle back when we have pinpointed a solution or have a new release to test. Wish we had something more concrete to share with you at the moment, but unfortunately not at this time.
