Sending you a hug, Margie! I heard this line a lot about not focusing on the condition when my AuDHD kid was younger. Only thing is that without figuring out the condition, you most of the times cannot find your strategy and your way in this world. I got mine way too late in life, too. Only after seeing my past self in him, I was 36 - I don’t have both conditions, though, so I’m learning a lot in this path.
Once you know where you’re at, you’re able to rethink about how you do things, how you communicate with the world, step by step. You understand why you can do extremely difficult things and struggle a lot in the easy ones.
But with this consciousness your path starts flourishing, just like the one on your drawing.
