What That Means

A closed loop mind is a mind that can't take in new information.

It only loops what it already believes. It defends. It attacks. It argues. But it doesn't test. It doesn't question. It doesn't consider.

How They Did It

School teaches you:

· Sit down
· Shut up
· Do what you're told
· Don't question
· Don't push back
· Don't think too deep
· Accept what they give you

That's not education.
That's programming.

What It Looks Like

You bring new information in from the biblical text.

Instead of people getting curious, they start debating or arguing their stated opinions.

Instead of saying: "Hmm, I'm going to check this out and test if what she is speaking holds any water."

They just react.

The Truth

They used the Bible so much for control that many people are closed to new thoughts — even when the new thought comes from the same text they claim to follow.

The Unhook

If you can't test what you hear, you're not discerning.

If you can't get curious, you're not awake.

If you can't check for yourself, you're still trapped.

The Declaration

I will not debate what I haven't tested.
I will not argue what I haven't checked.
I will not defend what I haven't questioned.

I will be curious.
I will test.
I will see for myself.
