IP laws can be anti-competitive and unenforceable. But countries are also free not to trade with China as well. The US should’ve long ago severely limited Chinese immigration and completely shutdown trade. Instead they’ve sold out at every step along the way and are now dependent on Chinese goods. But it doesn’t have to be that way. It used to not be that way. The US has all the resources it needs to completely abandon China. But is there a will? We shall see
