I have trenches along the outside on the floor which are filled with gravel and graded to go out one back corner of the building. They just don't have the perforated pipe of a French drain.
A makeshift French drain works just as good, its mostly just the act of having the water be able to move away from the foundation and out and away. Looking forward to see how this build turns out.
