Was John wrong though? Wouldn’t it signal ignorance on your part in this case? I thought pubky’s design was clear at least on that area

john is wrong. my characterization of pubky as a distributed address resolution protocol used to find home servers is correct. i say this as someone who is interested in distributed systems and has been writing software for over two decades

if i'm wrong, he's welcome to explain how pubky differs from my description. instead he calls me names

You’re not wrong. The thing he called you a nostard for is that you need it explained in exactly those terms otherwise you don’t understand it (apparently). The docs don’t use exactly those terms, but it does explain that system fairly clearly https://pubky.org/tldr/

Pubky takes a while to understand. Seems that most people who don't like Pubky fall into one of three categories: - Haven't taken the time to understand it - Nostr sunk cost fallacy - Bad actors At least one of these categories can be fixed by spending an hour or so reading the docs: https://pu...
