I don't think Tim Russ gets enough credit for defining what it means to be a Vulcan in Star Trek.
Spock was always half-human and the various depictions usually lean into that even if it's just an inner conflict. He defined someone trying to navigate two worlds, neither is which was a true match.
Tuvok is a disciplined Vulcan who was so good being a Vulcan, he successfully infiltrated the Maquis and stayed on mission. There was no human half. There was no "we are still building backstory" like with T'Pol. He's just Vulcan.
Look at "Picard". Tuvok smiling was enough of a giveaway that he was a changeling.
Tim Russ' performance in Voyager (and Star Trek: Online) made that scene work. You might have even noticed it before Seven.
I don't hate the racist, passive aggressive Vulcan's from "Enterprise" or the more Spock-like Vulcan's from TNG. But Tim out-Vulcaned all of them. I haven't watched Discovery so I can't comment on their Vulcans.
