Jimmy, come on. You are saying "electrons is what drives all electricity". Status is defined by society standing, so how would it not drive social dynamics? Status is social power which is a way people organize themselves. And if there are humans involved with anything you can bet there will be some form of pecking order going on. In the case of Bitcoin, you get the longest mining chain and you get 100k virtual nodes going and you steer Bitcoin towards asset devaluation. Isn't that lovely?
