Ham radio is something i always had an interest in, along with Meshstatic. Almost went to a meshstatic meetup last wkend, but already had another commitment.
I wish there were meetups around here for meshtastic, but from the Michigan meshtastic discord group, it seems most the people are more interested in out doing the other guy than helping each other… for ham I just got lucky to make contact with my county’s club president over a random call over an area repeater and he got me hooked up with the club and the meeting schedule the following day and I’ve been happy with the club ever since… 🤣 after the first meeting I went to I told my wife that I had found my type of people and she’s been picking on me since
