I've started buying handmade soap for this reason. Support small businesses and get something you can use up properly too. I don't like shampoo bars much though. For that I'm just buying the bottles that have the squeezy bottoms instead. Don't normally pay attention to what else is available but you're right... how come they aren't the default yet?!
