@nprofile1q... The thing is, I am left-leaning, but I don't know that I would call myself a full-on democrat, I just happen to agree more with what they say than the republicans, and I like a lot of there policies more than I like the policies which the republicans tend to support. I do agree heavily though on the fact that democrats are at least in my experience, much less responsible when it comes to spending other people's money. If for example, we could find a mid-point wherein people who tried to implement policies did so also while being concerned with the cost of what it would take to make those a reality, that would be a good thing, because needlessly spending money onthings such as war could instead be saved or invested for something meant to benefit people 20 or 30 years down the line, applying the "Fire" principle in a way toward how we invest government money for the future of the people it is meant to serve, as I myself implement the Fire principle in my life, and I have saved a significant amount for someone my age, and while it has much in the way to do with retiring early, hence part of the name, it can also be applied toward investing money that governments might use to spend in order to create more of a potential surplus or have some level of emergency funds having been invested over a number of decades, that could come in handy if a big disaster would ever come to pass.
