yes, I prefer my decentralized protocol to be originated by someone "discovering public/private keypairs & tcp" on their free time, than for my decentralized protocol to be corpo owned & VC funded. The "trade offs" they keep talking about is trading off something actually useful and simple, for something that they envision and will require them to get paid high salaries until it is completed
