I have a serious question. I accept the risk of asking in a non serious place. My bestie broke up with her bf. They are both good people, no beating, no cheating, but they were struggling to try and be happy together because they just weren't a good match.
Now he hates her. I tried to explain that this is just how men process a breakup. That hating her is easier than being sad.

So I guess my question is, is it easier for you gentlemen to hate us and cut us out of your lives than to be sad over losing what you had hoped might be happiness?

Again, I realize this may unintentionally provoke some vitriol over past pain, but I would be grateful for any heartfelt insights you may have to offer.
