Now that I think about it, at some point if KYC was enforced, over the time there would be no really private bitcoin transactions for anyone or mainstream payment providers could refuse the payments just like exchanges do now if they think it’s stolen (although it could be any other reason).

Perhaps I am just not seeing the whole scope, but I can’t think of monero having that same problem.
