The buttons aren't real, and no survey participant has anything at risk, so the benefit is getting to feel good about yourself for pushing the blue button. You get the moral high ground of being a blue button pusher. The decision to push blue is nonsense. Anyone who actually had life at stake pushes red. It is the only decision that makes any sense, morally or otherwise
