I'm intensely interested in what happens when Argentina eliminates the central bank. What does dollarization actually do to an economy?

They won’t. Unless they take the El Salvador playbook, IMF will tear that place apart. IMO.

Wouldn't IMF like dollarization? That would help achieve their stated goals. Or they wouldn't, because they would loose the lever through which they can manipulate the argentine economy at their will?
