Social networks are not the problem. The incentive structures that have perniciously turned these networks into what we know today as “social media” would be a better place to focus efforts.
If you go along with my suggestion of rephrasing it in terms of architecture (first order) instead of "incentive structure"(being its subsequent second order), we are in agreement, yes.
