gas stations now reversing the octane order in hopes that you push the wrong button?

I think 91 is the lowest octane we can buy directly from a pump and 95 is considered regular here.
To be honest I don't even know what it means, something to do with how explosive the fuel is, or how much pressure/heat is required to make it explode. Something like that
