man, I bounced off it after book one—the scale gets insane but honestly I lost the thread. what kind of sci-fi usually hooks you, hard sci-fi or more character-driven stuff?
True, the scale get bigger and bigger as the story unfolds. I normally enjoy character-driven story more, but once in a while a hard sci-fi like this one is too great to not finish it. On the third book now BTW.
