Opened my laptop after weeks of no use (sitting on the charger), and I have no GUI.
CTL+Alt+F2 gets me to a CLI, and all files on SSD seems to be fine.
No ability to <apt update> or <apt-get updat...
Boot to USB, and backup your files. This way, if you have to reinstall, it's not as painful.
