Quick thought about Twitter migration; I believe one of the big reasons BitcoinHackers.org Mastodon never really took of was because of the noncommittal twitter post mirroring bots. (Myself guilty)

Even though, the beauty of nostr is that we can’t technically block/prevent it. We should shame that behaviour and unfollow those accounts If we want this place to take off.

Nostr had 10k users, peak 5K active and prob 80% mirror bots. It had initial momentum, but the software is crap and ppl didn’t commit.

Very much agree with this. I tried shaming reposting on mastodon, but there it's sort of accepted as a solution and many bitcoiners actively use it.  So yes - don't be that guy, don't repost your Twitter to Nostr.

I think the problem was that 45% of English speakers don't know how to spell Mastodon.

Mastodon had a moment where a lot of people with large following signed up and tried it initially. They even switched over to create content first on Mastodon. Yet, the reality was that your following was still on other networks and it was hard to follow and find people in other instances, or even ...

I’m thinking about deleting twitter and restarting here. Not that I have any followers anyway
