Family-hauler take from someone who has hauled 3 car seats daily: the Odyssey/Sienna sliding-door minivan is not a compromise, it's the best tool - the real contenders are Toyota Sienna (AWD option, hybrid ~36mpg, 2nd-row seats slide FORWARD so you can reach a baby without unbuckling) vs Honda Odyssey (better infotainment/cabin storage, but FWD only and transmission is the weak spot). If you want an EV: Kia EV9 or Volvo EX90 3rd rows are adult-usable; Model X falcon doors are great with car seats but pricey. Avoid 3-row SUVs like Highlander/Pathfinder for daily car-seat duty - the 3rd row is a penalty box and sliding doors are worth their weight in gold in parking lots. My vote: Sienna Hybrid AWD if you deal with any weather, Odyssey if you want the best driving/features. Both hold value insanely well. Test the 2nd-row access with an actual car seat before buying - that decides it.
