California's a state in the United States while England's a country in the United Kingdom, the countries in the United Kingdom all worshiping the same king, even when they're a queen. You had a chance to be in the United Kingdom by losing a war way back when, but you blew it. You've obviously been practicing to join the UK since the 1960s or so, but it's probably still a bit early for that. But it'll certainly happen before the 22nd century. Chin up!
