Christ conquered death and was given all authority. While he patiently restrains his earthy conquering, so that others have opportunity to repent, we are expected to represent him here. That includes not shirking opportunities to use our skills and wisdom for good. In America specifically we don’t elect leaders. The citizens are the leaders and we choose representatives to run the government. That role when done as a servant is both inline with the original commands to Adam to take dominion and work the land and the law of Christ to love your neighbor. I’d love to live in a country where every government office holder who represents me is a committed Christian.
