The idea behind BIP-110 didn't die. 17,000 nodes told the network they believe Bitcoin is money. Bitcoin being decentralized, secure, "peer-to-peer electronic cash" may not manifest through BIP-110, but the idea will survive through our actions and choices as we continue to evolve
