I know nothing about war technology, but it seems to me that the war in Ukraine has really changed things. Are what we're seeing with the new Iran / Israel conflict a reflection of that? Two countries...
I think you're right on this. Not sure how I feel about it though. On one hand, it's not good for big-war corp and their profits. On the other hand, somebody in nowhereland can hack up a roomba to drive up to somebody's house with explosives. Scary stuff.
