You have two qualifiers here: married and home ownership. I think the marriage factor alone is a big part of this. Simply, young people aren't marrying, thus they cannot be married and homeowners (regardless of any voting or economic situation).

Percent married at age 30.
1950: 80-85%
1960: 85-90%
1970: 80-90%
1980: 70-80%
1990: 60-70%
2000: 50-60%
2010: 40-50%
2020: 30-40%
2025: 25-40%

I'm currently watching the livestream of the Blue Origin rocket launch. It's on hold, no surprise, but the people in comments jeep writing about "crypto" and "crypto scam" stream on the Blue Origin site, or something. (Hard to decipher YouTube comment chatter.) Crazy world.

The more I think about it, the weirder is seems. In my dream, I came across "German Calculus" and didn't know what it was. So, in my dream, I looked it up and read the article on Wikipedia about it. As I read it, I was like, "Oh, okay, I see what it's supposed to mean." But, the concept was already in my mind...my mind created the Wikipedia article that I was "reading" and it didn't come into my consciousness until I'd "read" it. Very strange.
