the concept of a good or bad coin is a societal, so Monero is just a 'bad' coin, even if it is private, or no?

It's not a social issue; it's a technical one.

If I receive cash from a drug trafficker and give that money to my cousin, my cousin won’t know it came from a drug trafficker because it’s cash.

If I receive money from a drug trafficker in Bitcoin and those addresses are flagged by OFAC, and I give that Bitcoin to my cousin, my cousin will know that Bitcoin is flagged, and my cousin’s Bitcoins will end up being flagged.

With Monero, it’s the same as with cash—it can’t be flagged.

So you want to ban Monero? Go ahead—that’s exactly what they’re doing, because it’s private. It would be the best thing that could happen to Bitcoin. Are you worried they’ll ban it? Then you’re a paternalistic statist. I couldn’t care less about the laws those bastards make.
