I believe how you describe forks failing is also how companies exit the index. I am curious if those crypto basket etfs will list their exposure to new branches of Bitcoin as well.

Something important tho is to really keep all old wallet information, because the branched coin won't move ahead automatically to the new wallet while changing wallets. If you are like me and just move things haphazardly...we will have to be more careful in the future.
