heard this today, something to think about: “Women create community, men often only create hierarchies.”

There's something that I've observed since my husband has started working with other men on building projects over the last few years: there's a hierarchy that emerges from a frank and appreciative recognition of superior skills.

I realize this tendency can sometimes get twisted into something malignant, but it's been pretty cool to see! There's humor and warmth in it, and the mentorship that emerges is amazing.

To me it seems quite distinct from how women generally interact since we tend to highlight overlap in experiences and downplay differences that might lead to any hierarchy.

Women do not create communities. They created packs to attack others in group

i do belief that it's necessary and natural but on the bigger picture it has more importance than community driven thinking. during human history there might have been times where this was more extreme too.
