I just looked into what Islam teaches about Jesus and Mary and it seems they are both held in very high esteem. Here’s a good point: (from perplexity) “Belief in Jesus as a prophet and in Mary’s purity is actually required for orthodox Muslim faith, as part of accepting all of God’s prophets and signs.”
